Many FAI competitors already fly with Trig products. Trig’s TT21 Mode S compact transponders and TY91 radios are popular, due to their small size and low weight. These characteristics are vital, when concentration in competition flying demands no unnecessary distractions.
Competition pilots will fly a range of demanding navigational, performance, accuracy and spot landing tasks. Whilst the friendly camaraderie of microlight pilots is well known, in the air the level of competition will be acute, the margin for error is minimal, if a medal and a place on the podium is to be achieved.
