Trig Launches Next Generation Compact Transponder
Compact. Built-in GPS. ADS-B Out. Certified.
Trig Avionics – a Dynon Company – has launched the TT23 Transponder, the next generation in its compact transponder line. The TT23 builds on the success of the popular TT21 and TT22 models, offering pilots an even smaller, lighter unit with new features designed for enhanced safety, compliance, and ease of installation.
The TT23 is a fully certified Class 1, Mode S transponder with ADS-B Out, suitable for both VFR and IFR flight. Its reduced size and weight — up to 15% lighter than previous models — make it the perfect fit for aircraft with limited panel space, without compromising performance or reliability.
Two versions are available:
TT23G – The TT23G features a built-in GPS receiver, perfect for pilots seeking an integrated ADS-B out solution. The TT23G is recommended for experimental and light sport aircraft looking to meet the requirements for ADS-B out in the United States. In regions where equipage is voluntary, the TT23G enhances visibility and safety in the air.
TT23 – The same compact transponder without an internal GPS, suitable for aircraft already equipped with a compatible GPS position source. An STC will be available for integration with leading third-party navigators as well as the Trig TN70 remote GPS. For those not yet ready to equip with ADS-B Out, the TT23 remains a modern, high-quality transponder with flexible configuration options for any aircraft type.
Building on the success of Trig’s TT21 and TT22, the new TT23 retains the same user-friendly control head that pilots know and rely on, with a built-in altitude encoder and a bright, easy-to-read LCD screen.
