Pilots visiting the Paris Air Expo trade show will be amongst the first to have the opportunity to order Trig Avionics latest TY96 VHF radio.
With the European 8.33 radio mandate being rolled out in 2018 Trig’s new VHF radio is the best 8.33 solution for general aviation. The TY96 is slimline at only 33mm tall but fully featured, so it will easily fit in virtually any stack.
Andy Davis, CEO at Trig said, “Our avionics are growing in popularity across the general aviation market. We are looking forward to the show and meeting customers who have been waiting for our new TY96 and TY97 radios. Paris is a great opportunity to see our radios at first hand, along with other Trig products, you can find us at stand A114.”
Trig Avionics designs state of the art certified stack and compact avionics suitable for both VFR and IFR flight. The TY96 and TY97 are both 8.33 kHz and 25 kHz capable; each radio has Dual Watch, a USB database with a capacity of over two hundred frequencies and identifiers and an Emergency button. The radio’s ‘Say Again’ button allows the pilot to play back up to thirty seconds of radio transmission. This makes it ideal for instructors and student pilots, as they become more familiar with radio procedures.

There will be a number of Approved Trig Dealers at the show, who will be happy to help customers and take orders. Shipping for the TY96 and TY97 will commence in late June. Trig’s French engineer, Yann Nocerino will also be on the Trig stand, “I’m really looking forward to talking to existing and new Trig customers and showing them the benefits of the TY96.”
Trig is well respected for its established compact avionics – ideal where panel space is tight. Trig’s TT21 is one of the smallest Mode S and ADS-B transponders on sale. A matching 8.33 VHF Radio called the TY91 is also available. These units are popular with light sport and general aviation pilots.
All Trig products are backed up by a two-year warranty via a network of Approved Trig Dealers. If you are thinking of equipping your aircraft with 8.33 or Mode S technology then come and meet the Trig team first!
