Trig flies in to Aero Expo France, Lyon.

June 8, 2017

The Trig team are in Lyon for France’s annual general aviation show, Aero Expo.

After last year’s show, the coldest and wettest for years, pilots from around France will be converging on Aeroport De Lyon Bron (LFLY) to enjoy summer skies and see the latest aviation hardware. Trig’s range of smart, affordable and future proof avionics will be on booth P03.

Typical of pilots at the show, many will be used to touring and flying across Europe. The European 8.33 mandate for VHF radios will require these type of operations to have an 8.33 radio installed, as regulatory compliance is required by the 31st of December 2017.

Whilst French pilots will probably know that there is a separate French 2020 timeline to the 8.33 radio mandate, many pilots would prefer to equip sooner, particularly as free money is available!

Jon Roper, Trig Marketing Manager said, “The International Council of Aircraft Owner and Pilot Associations, IAOPA is offering European pilots the opportunity to secure funding towards their 8.33 purchase. Funds are being secured, but pilots must act now to be included in the rebate scheme. To take part pilots need to enter their preference of Trig radio model and their contact information on the IAOPA 8.33 project website.

You don’t need to be an AOPA member to take part in the rebate scheme. If secured, funds will allow a 20% refund from the purchase price of a Trig TY91 or TY96 radio. Jon Roper added, “It’s a good time to think seriously about your avionics, we are finding that customers are planning upgrades in addition to their 8.33 radio. Our French dealers who include SEAM and Rectimo are exhibiting at Lyon. You can see Trig equipment at the Trig booth and discuss your installation with our dealers at the show.”
